I’m not going to pretend that I don’t work hard on this bod.
On the contrary: I dance several times a week. I take Barre classes. Pilates. Lift weights. I had a trainer for two years, but stopped in January. Yes, I know what to do now, but I miss her.
There’s nothing as motivating to stay fit than to take naked pictures of oneself for mass consumption.
But skinny does not take years off of one’s life (oh, how we pretend). I am 53, and I am glad to be. I don’t hide my stretch marks anymore.
